WELCOME TO LW LASHES!
Here are the steps to use a portable eyelash curler:
Prepare your eyelashes
Clean your lashes: Make sure your eyelashes are clean and free of any mascara, eyeliner, or other debris. This will ensure that the curler can grip your lashes properly and prevent any product buildup from affecting the curling effect.Comb your lashes: Use an eyelash comb or a clean spoolie brush to gently comb through your lashes from the base to the tips. This helps to separate the lashes and remove any tangles, making it easier for the curler to work evenly.
Position the curler
Open the curler: Gently squeeze the handle of the eyelash curler to open the jaws wide enough to fit your eyelashes.Place at the base: Hold the curler horizontally and position it at the base of your upper eyelashes, as close to the lash line as possible without pinching your eyelid. Make sure that all of your lashes are evenly placed between the two pads of the curler.
Start curling
Apply gentle pressure: Slowly squeeze the handle of the curler to apply gentle and even pressure to your lashes. Hold the curler in place for about 5-10 seconds. Be careful not to apply too much pressure, as this can cause your lashes to break or become damaged.Move upwards: After holding for the initial 5-10 seconds, while still applying light pressure, gently move the curler up along the length of your lashes in small increments. This helps to create a more natural and graduated curl. You can repeat this process 2-3 times, moving the curler up a little each time, until you reach the tips of your lashes.
Check and adjust
Inspect your lashes: After curling, carefully remove the curler and check the shape of your lashes. If there are any lashes that didn't curl evenly or if the curl isn't as pronounced as you'd like, you can use the curler to make some adjustments. For example, if there are a few lashes that are sticking out straight, you can reposition the curler on just those lashes and give them a quick additional curl.
Finish with mascara (optional)
Apply mascara: If desired, you can follow up with a coat of mascara to enhance the curled effect and add volume and length to your lashes. Mascara can help to set the curl and make your lashes look even more dramatic. Start from the base of your lashes and wiggle the mascara wand as you move it up to the tips to ensure even coverage.
For lower lashes, you can use the same steps but be extra careful as the lower eyelid is more sensitive. You may need to hold the curler at a different angle to get a good curl. Additionally, some portable eyelash curlers come with a smaller attachment or a different design specifically for lower lashes.
