Pasting fake eyelashes requires certain techniques and patience. Here is a detailed guide:
Before Pasting
Select Suitable False Eyelashes: Choose false eyelashes that match the shape of your eyes and the overall makeup look. For example, if you have round eyes, you can choose false eyelashes that are longer at the ends to create an elongated effect. If you want a natural look, opt for light and thin false eyelashes; for a more dramatic look, choose thick and long ones.
Prepare Tools: You'll need false eyelashes, eyelash glue, tweezers, an eyelash curler, and possibly an eyeliner.
Pasting Process
Prepare the Natural Lashes: Curl your natural lashes with an eyelash curler. Start from the root of the lashes and hold for a few seconds, then move to the middle and tip of the lashes to curl them in sections, making them more upward and curled. This helps the false eyelashes blend better with the natural ones.
Trim the False Eyelashes: Put the false eyelashes against your eye to measure. Usually, the false eyelashes are a bit long and need to be trimmed according to the length of your eye. Use small scissors to carefully cut off the excess part from the outer end of the false eyelashes. Note that it's better to cut a little at a time to avoid cutting too much.
Apply Eyelash Glue: Squeeze an appropriate amount of eyelash glue onto the root of the false eyelashes. Ensure the glue forms a thin, even line. If the glue is too much, it may overflow and get into the eyes; if it's too little, the false eyelashes may not stick firmly. You can also put a small amount of glue on the back of the hand and use the tip of the tweezers to dip some glue and apply it to the root of the false eyelashes.
Wait for the Glue to Become Tacky: Let the glue dry for about 10 - 15 seconds. When the glue changes from wet to slightly sticky, it reaches the best adhesion state. At this time, the false eyelashes can be better attached to the natural lash line.
Paste the False Eyelashes: Look down slightly and use tweezers to hold the false eyelashes at the middle part and place them as close as possible to the root of your natural eyelashes. Start from the middle of the eye and gently press the false eyelashes onto the lash line. Then, press the inner and outer corners of the false eyelashes in turn to make them fit the lash line better and ensure they are firmly attached.
Adjust the False Eyelashes: After pasting, check if the false eyelashes are evenly attached and have a natural curve. If necessary, use tweezers to gently adjust the position and angle of the false eyelashes to make them blend more perfectly with the natural lashes.
After Pasting
Blend with Eyeliner: You can use eyeliner to draw a line along the root of the false eyelashes to cover the lash band of the false eyelashes, making the transition between the false eyelashes and the eyelids more natural. This can also make the eyes look more vivid and deep.
Apply Mascara: Apply an appropriate amount of mascara to your natural lashes and false eyelashes to make them blend more closely and enhance the curling and thickening effect. When applying mascara, be careful not to clump the lashes.
