Will my baby's eyelashes grow longer after being cut

There is no scientific basis to prove that cutting a baby's eyelashes will make them grow longer. In fact, this practice may bring some risks and negative effects:

  • No Promoting Growth: The length and thickness of eyelashes are mainly determined by genetic factors and the growth cycle of hair follicles. Cutting eyelashes does not change the genetic information or the physiological structure of the hair follicles, so it cannot promote their growth in essence.
  • Risk of Injury: Babies are usually very active and it is difficult to cooperate during the process of cutting eyelashes. There is a high risk of accidentally scratching the baby's eyelids, eyes or other parts of the face, which may lead to bleeding, infection and other problems. In severe cases, it may even affect the baby's eye health.
  • Temporary Impact: After cutting the eyelashes, the newly grown eyelashes may feel thicker and harder at first because the cut ends are relatively neat and sharp. But this is only a temporary visual and tactile illusion, not a real increase in length or thickness.

In general, it is not recommended to cut a baby's eyelashes. As the baby grows, the eyelashes will naturally develop according to their own growth law.
