After grafting eyelashes, it's important to wash your face carefully to avoid damaging the grafted lashes. Here are the steps and precautions:

Washing Steps

  1. Prepare Gentle Products: Use a mild, oil-free facial cleanser and lukewarm water. Oil-based products can dissolve the glue used in eyelash grafting and cause the false lashes to fall off prematurely.
  2. Wet Your Face Gently: Use your hands to scoop up lukewarm water and gently wet your face, avoiding direct splashing on the eyes. You can also use a soft facial sponge to gently wet the areas other than the eye area.
  3. Clean the Face Except for the Eye Area: Apply a small amount of facial cleanser to your palms, lather it up gently, and then use your fingertips to gently massage the face, excluding the eye area. Focus on areas like the T-zone and cheeks where there is more oil and dirt. Use gentle circular motions to clean the skin and then rinse with lukewarm water.
  4. Clean the Eye Area with Caution: Dampen a clean, soft cotton pad or a small piece of soft gauze with lukewarm water. Gently wipe the area around the eyes from the inner corner to the outer corner. This can remove some dirt and secretions without touching the eyelashes directly. If there is makeup residue or stubborn dirt around the eyes, you can use a small amount of oil-free makeup remover on the cotton pad and gently wipe it off.
  5. Dry Your Face Gently: Use a clean, soft towel or a paper towel to gently pat your face dry. Avoid rubbing the eye area to prevent the lashes from falling off or getting distorted.

Precautions

  • Avoid Rubbing the Eyelashes: Do not rub or pull the grafted eyelashes when washing your face, as this can cause them to fall out or become loose.
  • Keep Away from Steam: Avoid exposing the eye area to high temperatures and steam for a long time, such as in a sauna or when washing your face with very hot water, as this may affect the bonding of the eyelash glue.
  • Be Cautious with Makeup Removal: If you need to remove makeup, especially around the eyes, use a gentle, oil-free makeup remover and be very careful not to let the makeup remover get into the eyes or soak the grafted eyelashes for a long time.
  • Follow the Aftercare Instructions: Different eyelash grafting techniques and products may have slightly different aftercare requirements. It is recommended to follow the specific instructions given by the beautician or the salon.
